17 Weeks!

I can't believe I'm already 17 weeks! It seems to have gone by fast but kinda slow at the same time. I'm starting to feel a lot better! YAY!! I'm not throwing up as much and am kinda feeling back to myself. I crave a lot of salty things and live off of pretzels! Although no one else can really tell or would have the guts to ask me if I'm pregnant I feel like I'm really starting to get a belly! Here's a picture of my belly!! BABY BABY BABY!!!

YES.... I am expecting!!! Im 12 weeks today and I'm due July 29th! We are thrilled! We found out the morning of our 2 year anniversary! How cute huh??? It was so hard for me to keep it in especially since we are around Jake's family all the time and my mother in law kept asking me "Are you pregnant Katie?". It was so hard for me to lie to her! But I'm not very good at lieing and even though I told her a million times I wasn't she still knew I was! I haven't been having the funnest first trimester either so that didn't help my disguise very much!

We decided to tell our family on Christmas! We slept over at Jake's parents house on Christmas Eve and then woke up the next morning and opened presents with his parents and his sister Britania! We were going to wait until after church to tell them but after throwing up 3 times already that morning I was sick of keeping it in. So Jake has this cabbage patch doll that he loved named Kevin Austin and I had one growing up as well and then we bought a little baby one and had Britania put them on the door step and ring the door bell. John answered the door and they knew right away what was going on! Sandi screamed and then went behind the couch and handed me a gift. She really was prepared...She got me some white onsies! Drew and Brit came over after church and we left the basket out for them so they would see it when they walked in but they didnt really get it until we told them! Brits pregnancy hormones kicked in and she started crying and hugging me!! We are all so excited that these two little babies will be so close in age!

So since my family lives in Ohio we had to skype to tell them! I had my sister Allie make a onsie for my mom that said "I Love MiMi"(that's what the grand kids call my mom) So we got on skype with my parents and were just talking to them for awhile and then I told my mom I had one more present for her and Allie went and got it and she opened it and started crying! Wish I could have been there is person to tell them! My sister Allie is pregnant too and is due like 2 days after me! My mom will be going crazy in July!

We had our first doctor appointment a couple weeks ago and got to hear the heart beat! That was so fun! We can't wait to find out what were having and I hope these next 7 weeks go by fast!

Arizona!!

For Spring Break us girls went to Arizona to see Sandi's family! We had such a great time! Sandi's family is so fun to be around and we are constantly laughing when we are around them! If was so fun to just be us girls! We stayed most of our time in San Manuel Arizona. Population like 400! Haha really not that bad but just a really small town! It was fun to walk to the dollar store a couple times a day and go get pirated movies from the pirate guy! Most of all it was just fun getting to know Sandi's family and just each other a little more! Thanks Sandi for taking us on this trip! It was a lot of fun!

This is the house that Jake was born into! Jake spent only just a short part of his life in Arizona but I'm so glad that I will have pictures of it so I can show my kids!!

Goodbye Fantastic Sams in Provo :(

So this is where i used to work a couple days. Well now it's closed. :( sad day! It has always been a slower salon and the owners were sick of putting money into it. My last day of work i was sitting and thinking about all the good memories i have had at this salon. The best memory of all, meeting my husband. I had to take a picture of it before I left. It really has been such a fun salon and ill never forget it. The girls that i worked with really made it worth staying! I really was so lucky to work with such amazing girls! I have moved to the Fantastic Sams salon in Orem now and it's just not the same though. I'm just not very good with change. Anyways goodbye Fantastic Sams in Provo and thanks for all the good times!!

New Crafts!

This is what i have been up to lately!...

I'm not done with these blocks yet. I still have to add the fun decorative things to it but these blocks are for my mom and then they say Autumn on the back which is below!

Me and my friend Dani have been getting together every week and working on a craft! It's been so fun! I found this wreath on another blog and it was so fun and easy to make!

My sister-in-law Tani gave me this magazine that has a ton of fun things to make with the sewing machine so me and Dani are picking one thing out a week to make! I made this camera case and cell phone case and Dani made some CUTE place mats! Thanks Tani for the magazine!! Next weeks craft will be posted! :)

More Crafts!

I made these blocks for my sister Allie! Hope she likes them!!

I have been working with Jake's cousin's Cami and Lindsey on this quilt since November or so and I finished it! YAYY!! It has been really fun to actually make the very own first quilt! Thanks Cami for taking so much of your time to teach me how to make this quilt! Can't wait for the next one!!

Here are the next seasonal blocks i have been working on! LOVE THEM! When Roberts comes out with their summer paper I will be putting summer on the back of these spring ones! SO FUN! I really am enjoying using my Cricut!

So I have just figured out that i LOVE crafts!!

I got a Cricut from my in-laws for Christmas and as you can see I have been putting it to good use! IM IN LOVE WITH IT! Before the Cricut I had to BEG Jake to hang out with me and not do his homework! Well now the tables have turned! Feels kinda good actually! HAHA!
