Running With Angels

A couple weekends ago Jake's family and I were lucky enough to walk/run in a 5k honoring families that have lost children! My mother in law works for the foundation at Utah Valley hospital and she helped put this event together. This was also a personal event for her because years ago she gave birth to a still born baby and named him Luke! It was emotional for all of us but it was a great event to be apart of as a family! I walked with my sister in law Brittany and Jake ran with his sister Britania. The 5k was at the Thanksgiving Point gardens and it was perfect weather and amazing scenery! I am hoping after I have my baby boy I can actually run in the next 5k and continue to go up from there! It was a blast!

32 weeks!!!

Only 8 more weeks!! I am getting more and more anxious to meet my little guy! I just cant wait to see what he looks like and to have a little guy of my own! I know I will probably make lot's of mistakes but I'm excited for this learning experience!  I'm also looking forward to not aching so much! I know I still have 8 more weeks and it's just going to get worse though! I recently cut some hours at work so I'm not working full time anymore and that has been really nice! Jake starts his internship with Goldman Sachs and that pretty much means I wont be seeing much of him. :( Thank goodness my mom will be coming out here when I have him! 29 Weeks!!!

11 more weeks to go!! He is a movin machine! It really has been so fun to feel him moving around! He's starting to get the hiccups and I love it! I guess that my little guy is sitting on my tail bone because it really starts to hurt when i'm sitting alot or bending over. My lower back has been sore alot too..but other than that everything is going great! We have most of the nursery all put together! I went back to Ohio a few weeks to see the family and had a baby shower there thanks to my sisters and mom! Last week I had a baby shower with my salon girls and it was alot of fun! I will post pics after I have one in June with the Freeze family! I really am so blessed to have such amazing friends and family that love me so much! Here's a pic of me at 29 weeks!!

24 Weeks!!

I can't believe I forgot to write a post about how WE'RE HAVING A BOYYY!!!! Most of you guys know anyways but just wanted to write about the excitement we are having!! Jake asked me that morning we found out for a final guess on what we were having and I really didn't know. I asked him and he thought for sure we were having a girl! Our ultra-sound went different then we expected this experience to be. She started out with the boring stuff (but still important stuff) like measuring the head and measuring bones. She then showed us the heart and the different chambers and that was really cool to see his heart beat. She was making her way down and she asked if we wanted to know and we said yes but then it still took her awhile. She then said "It looks like we have some out door plumbing." Me and Jake just were quiet because we didn't quite understand the joke. So then she said "and girls don't have that." and we were like oh its a boy! It was a very anti-climactic experience. We are so thrilled to be having and boy and are even more excited that my sister Allie who is due two days after me is having a boy too! I have been feeling great! I have been feeling a lot more tired in my second trimester than my first though. I feel him moving around more and more every day that passes. I love the feeling! Jake has felt him kick a few times too so i think it makes it more real for him. Well here's a pic of me at 24 weeks!

ARIZONA!

For Jake's spring break we decided to go to Arizona! Sandi and Tani go there at this time of year to go see Sandi's family, so we just drove up with them and stopped at the Grand Canyon and then they dropped us off at Drew and Stephs! My parents and Jared flew in the day after we got there! It was just so fun to have some relaxing family time! It's so hard to be away from the fam but it always makes those few times that i do see my family even more wonderful! The highlight was meeting my nephew Trey for the first time! He's almost 1 and I can't believe it has taken us this long to see him! He is such a happy, fun, cute, smiley baby! I'm just hoping that my baby boy is just like him!! We had a girls day while we were there and me, my mom and steph went and got lunch, pedicures, shopping, watched Water for Elephants, and did some hair! It was such a fun day! The boys went to a Giants Spring Training game while we were doing our girl stuff! The next day we all went to a Giants game but it was soooo hott!!!! Jake ended up getting sick so me and him and my parents left a little early but I didn't mind one bit! We celebrated Drew's birthday that night at a stake house and had so much fun! 21 Weeks!!

I'm starting to actually feel pregnant now!! Bending over and sitting down has become a little harder! Besides having this belly in the way a little I feel GREAT!! My appetite is starting to get bigger now so I'm really trying to control myself and how much I eat! I just have to keep telling myself it will pay off in the long run! Me and my friend Dani (she is pregnant too, due just a couple days after me and is having a boy!!) have been going walking at the Smith Field House at BYU a couple times a week! It doesn't even feel like working out though cuz we use this time to just catch up and talk about all of our shows we watch! So fun! :) Well here's a picture of my recent belly! I feel like its getting bigger and bigger everyday!!

17 Weeks!

I can't believe I'm already 17 weeks! It seems to have gone by fast but kinda slow at the same time. I'm starting to feel a lot better! YAY!! I'm not throwing up as much and am kinda feeling back to myself. I crave a lot of salty things and live off of pretzels! Although no one else can really tell or would have the guts to ask me if I'm pregnant I feel like I'm really starting to get a belly! Here's a picture of my belly!!
