MASON IS HERE!!! And he's already 2 months old!!

Sorry it has taken me 2 months to update my blog! I have just been having way too much fun with my little boy!! I just can't get enough of him! :) All in all, the labor and delivery went pretty well! Okay well here's the story...On the Monday before I delivered, I went in for a cervical exam at 39 weeks and I was at dilated to a 3 1/2, 80% effaced! I had been that for a couple weeks so it wasn't anything exciting. After my appointment, I went out to lunch with my friend Dani who was due 1 day after me and I was telling her I was having cramps in my lower back and I had never felt that in my pregnancy but I just thought it was nothing. I didn't know you could have back labor!!! I called my mom and she said just go sit down and relax and see if it goes away. Well it wasn't going away so I called my mother in law and she told me I should go into the hospital because I was in labor. At this point the contractions were like 4-5 min apart so I didn't think it was really that serious but better to be safe than sorry. They got me all hooked up to the monitor but after a hour I hadn't progressed so they sent me home. :( That night I didn't sleep at all because I was contracting all night. At like 3 in the morning they were getting about 3-4 min apart and they were really hurting! Me and Jake went in again and I got hooked up and again....nothing had progressed so I got sent home. :( I forgot to mention that Jake had been in an internship all summer so it was kinda important to make sure he didn't miss work. So after we got sent home at 5am he went straight to work and my in laws told me I could come back to their house and they would take care of me! :) How lucky am I?? Anyways so I went back to their house and tried to get some sleep but that didn't really happen! My mother in law asked if I wanted to go walk around at the mall to get things going...honestly it didn't sound the greatest but I just wanted to have my baby!! So we went and by the time we got back my contractions were really painful and 2-3 min apart! So we went to the hospital again and this time I was at a 4 1/2 so they kept me! YAY!!! My mom was flying into town in a couple hours so I was so glad that I knew she was going to make it just in time! They gave me my epidural right away because I was in so much pain! A few hours later it was time to push.  Jake was a great help to me and was encouraging and supporting me the entire time! I pushed for a little over an hour and then Mr. Mason James Freeze was born! He had pooped while he was inside me so they had to make sure he didn't swallow any of it. When he came out he kinda had a grunting cry so they had me rub his palms and feet to get him screaming so all of that stuff would get out of his lungs. It worked and he was just fine!  He is such a cutie and I'm so grateful to have this little boy in my life now! Here are some cute pictures of him!

He's almost here!!!!

I can't believe the time has finally come that I get to meet my little boy soon! I'm SO excited! Sorry I haven't blogged with a new pic and updates recently! I really have been so lucky with this pregnancy! Although the beginning was kinda tough I have been so grateful that the last part of it has been a breeze! I went in for my first cervical exam at 36 weeks and I was dilated to a 2, 80% effaced! I couldn't believe things were already starting! At 37 weeks I was dilated to a 3, 80% effaced! EXCITING!! Then at 38 weeks (which is what I'm at now) nothing has changed. I asked my doctor how she felt about inducing me because my sister Allie has her c-section scheduled for the 31st and it would be a lot easier for my mom to help her a few days later if we got me started. And Jake is in a internship right now and it would be nice to know when we were going to be going in. I thought for sure she would say she wouldn't do it until  I'm a week over due but she said she thought my cervix looked great and she wouldn't be worried about inducing me NEXT WEEK!!! :) So i have my induce date set for July 26, 2012!!!! Everyone keeps saying that they don't thing I will last for another week but we will see!! My mom gets here on Tuesday!!! Let the excitement begin!!! Anyways here's a pic of me at 37 weeks! My friend Amanda's sister took some GREAT pregnancy pics and I just love them!! Wish me luck!!!!

Baby Showers!!!

I'm so lucky and grateful for the showers that were thrown for me! It was so fun to go back to Ohio in April and to be with my family! My sisters and mom threw a baby shower for me while I was there and invited mostly people from the ward and a few friends! It was so good to see everyone! My salon friend's also threw a party and even though most people ditched it was still great and I'm so grateful for the time and effort that was put into it! The last one was my with my in laws! My mother in law and sister in laws really put a lot of work into my jungle themed shower! It was so fun! I just wanted to say thanks to all the people that came and threw the parties for me! Thanks for all your love and support and I love you all! Now all I need is for Mason to get here!!! :)

Running With Angels

A couple weekends ago Jake's family and I were lucky enough to walk/run in a 5k honoring families that have lost children! My mother in law works for the foundation at Utah Valley hospital and she helped put this event together. This was also a personal event for her because years ago she gave birth to a still born baby and named him Luke! It was emotional for all of us but it was a great event to be apart of as a family! I walked with my sister in law Brittany and Jake ran with his sister Britania. The 5k was at the Thanksgiving Point gardens and it was perfect weather and amazing scenery! I am hoping after I have my baby boy I can actually run in the next 5k and continue to go up from there! It was a blast!

Tani made this cute sign! We all cant wait to meet Luke someday!

There were like 5 families that got to release doves and we were one of them!

We all had matching shirts! :)

32 weeks!!!

Only 8 more weeks!! I am getting more and more anxious to meet my little guy! I just cant wait to see what he looks like and to have a little guy of my own! I know I will probably make lot's of mistakes but I'm excited for this learning experience!  I'm also looking forward to not aching so much! I know I still have 8 more weeks and it's just going to get worse though! I recently cut some hours at work so I'm not working full time anymore and that has been really nice! Jake starts his internship with Goldman Sachs and that pretty much means I wont be seeing much of him. :( Thank goodness my mom will be coming out here when I have him! Well here's a pic at 32 weeks!

29 Weeks!!!

11 more weeks to go!! He is a movin machine! It really has been so fun to feel him moving around! He's starting to get the hiccups and I love it! I guess that my little guy is sitting on my tail bone because it really starts to hurt when i'm sitting alot or bending over. My lower back has been sore alot too..but other than that everything is going great! We have most of the nursery all put together! I went back to Ohio a few weeks to see the family and had a baby shower there thanks to my sisters and mom! Last week I had a baby shower with my salon girls and it was alot of fun! I will post pics after I have one in June with the Freeze family! I really am so blessed to have such amazing friends and family that love me so much! Here's a pic of me at 29 weeks!!

24 Weeks!!

I can't believe I forgot to write a post about how WE'RE HAVING A BOYYY!!!! Most of you guys know anyways but just wanted to write about the excitement we are having!! Jake asked me that morning we found out for a final guess on what we were having and I really didn't know. I asked him and he thought for sure we were having a girl! Our ultra-sound went different then we expected this experience to be. She started out with the boring stuff (but still important stuff) like measuring the head and measuring bones. She then showed us the heart and the different chambers and that was really cool to see his heart beat. She was making her way down and she asked if we wanted to know and we said yes but then it still took her awhile. She then said "It looks like we have some out door plumbing." Me and Jake just were quiet because we didn't quite understand the joke. So then she said "and girls don't have that." and we were like oh its a boy! It was a very anti-climactic experience. We are so thrilled to be having and boy and are even more excited that my sister Allie who is due two days after me is having a boy too! I have been feeling great! I have been feeling a lot more tired in my second trimester than my first though. I feel him moving around more and more every day that passes. I love the feeling! Jake has felt him kick a few times too so i think it makes it more real for him. Well here's a pic of me at 24 weeks!
